On Thursday 3 May, Woonona High School held its annual ANZAC Day assembly. The ceremony was held to recognise and commemorate the gallant efforts of all Australian men and women who have served in the defence forces and to remember their courage, their compassion and the sacrifices they made for Australia and indeed for all man-kind.
Year 9 students hosted the assembly and special guest speakers Corporal Stephen Carr, Garry May (WBRSL Sub Branch) and Stuart Kast (WBRSL Sub Branch) shared their experiences with our students.
The ceremony was a very moving and fitting way of honouring our service men and women.
