Circus skills is currently offered as a Year 8 elective. This elective teaches students a variety of hand manipulation skills, coordination, and self-discipline. Students will learn the basics of juggling, poi, diabolo and devil sticks. Students will also have the opportunity to develop their strength, balance and trust through acrobatic, drama and aerial skills including silks and lyra. Circus history is studied and researched and students create their own small performance pieces. Extra and co-curricular opportunities can be found at Circus Training. Students also develop their Circus Skills in Drama.
CAPA enrichment class
In Year 6, students are able to apply for the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) enrichment class, which allows Year 7 students to develop their interest and skills in Dance, Drama, Music and Visual Arts further.
