All students study Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) in years 7-10 at Woonona High School. PDHPE contributes significantly to the overall health of students. It provides opportunities for students to learn about and practice ways of adopting and maintaining a healthy, productive and active lifestyle. It also involves students learning through movement experiences that are both challenging and enjoyable and promotes the value of physical activity in their lives.
Students actively take part in team-building exercises, various excursions and have the opportunity to gain accreditation in sports coaching.
This year, the PDHPE Faculty is offering a wide range of special or elective courses which are designed to extend students who have a particular interest or talent in physical activity.
