Woonona High School has an active P&C association and parents are involved in all aspects of the school, working closely with both teachers and the Principal.
P&C meetings are held on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm in the staff common room.
Currently, the P&C is involved in the following school committees:
- Finance committee
- Uniform committee
- Canteen committee
- Out of area placement committee.
The P&C has several sub-committees that are staffed on a voluntary basis by parents and which raise substantial funds. Each group is constantly seeking fresh volunteers:
- school canteen
- school uniform shop.
In addition, the P&C:
- provides significant financial support to the school
- promotes participation in school activities/functions through communication with the Principal
- fosters a school community spirit by offering opportunities for parents to get together
- submits responses to relevant Departmental discussion papers and inquiries.
