Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA)

The Creative and Performing Arts faculty are committed to providing opportunities for every child to develop important skills for their future.

Our team of dedicated teachers use their passion and knowledge to foster creativity, confidence, persistence and collaboration through art, circus, dance, drama, music and technical production, both within and beyond the classroom. Our students are challenged to think critically about the world around them, evaluate the work of others, and communicate their own ideas.

We offer a range of electives from Year 8 to 12 and our innovative approach to the Mandatory Stage 4 Music and Visual Arts courses allows students of all abilities to meaningfully engage with the curriculum. In Music, students have online access to industry standard audio software.

High potential and gifted students are invited to apply for our Year 7 CAPA Enrichment class and we also offer HSC Acceleration, so students can complete the Stage 6 Visual Arts course in Year 11.

All students study Music and Visual Arts for one semester in both Year 7 and 8. We also offer the following CAPA electives:

Year 8: Ceramics, Circus, Dance, Drama, Film & Music, Performing Arts, Visual Arts Extension
