Principal's Message

Welcome to Woonona High School, the vibrant heart of our education community. Here, every student is empowered to build skills that open doors well beyond school. We nurture independent, confident learners who are ready to take on the world.

At Woonona High School, our expert teachers deliver a rich, diverse curriculum—from traditional academic subjects to an extensive Vocational Education and Training program and innovative junior electives. We’re proud to offer pathways that suit every student’s strengths and ambitions.

Excellence is our standard. Our HSC results consistently impress, sending our students on to their chosen pathway, whether it is university, TAFE, trade or vocational. But learning doesn’t stop in the classroom. Our dynamic co-curricular program fuels creativity, teamwork, and leadership through music, dance, chess, academic competitions, sport, and debating. We champion community spirit, encouraging students to earn Premier’s Volunteering Awards—with many already recognised at the State level for their extraordinary contributions.

Leadership is in our DNA. Our thriving Student Representative Council gives every year group a voice, shaping their school experience and growing future leaders.

Sporting excellence is a proud Woonona tradition. Our students have recently represented Australia and NSW in Oztag, Basketball, Hockey, and Cricket, while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle every step of the way.

At Woonona High School, a strong culture of student wellbeing and powerful partnerships with families and community drive our mission: that every student has every opportunity for success.

Your journey to excellence starts here at Woonona High School.
