Enrol
At Woonona High School, we understand that starting high school is a big step. To help Year 7 students settle in, we run a Peer Support Program led by trained Year 10 leaders.
This program provides a supportive environment where students can:
- Adjust smoothly to high school life
- Build positive relationships with peers and older students
- Develop confidence, resilience and leadership skills
- Strengthen decision making, problem solving and communication
Throughout Term 1, Year 7 students take part in weekly peer support sessions. These sessions nurture healthy relationships and provide practical skills that support both academic success and social wellbeing.
The program begins with dedicated sessions on Orientation Day and continues with regular sessions across the term, scheduled to ensure minimal disruption to learning.
